FingerprintingNWESD provides fingerprinting services using digital technology to create high-quality prints that are then transmitted directly to the Washington State Patrol. After additional review by the FBI, fingerprint records are held by OSPI. Fingerprinting is required of all individuals who have regular, unsupervised access to children, including those seeking certificates and those employed in a certified or classified position. Fingerprinting is available by appointment, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Appointments should be scheduled in advance by calling (360) 299-4072. If accompanied by children, arrangements should be made for someone to supervise them during the appointment. Fingerprinting Fees: For school district employees, educational service district (ESD) employees, contractual employees, private school employees, and certification applicants:
Payment may be made in the form of cash (exact change only), cashier’s check, credit card (Visa or MasterCard only), or money order payable to NWESD (no personal checks).
